Hey Laurie! Sorry its been so long! Thought I would send you a picture of the Angel you sold me! Hope all is well! Tar just turned 8 in the 2nd of May! I would like to breed him! Hello,

We just wanted to share some pictures of our 5 month old Bayly.... We have many many pictures.. here's a few from this past week at the bay. She is a wonderful addition to our family!

We can hardly believe it has been four months since we added Princess Pintail of Spivey Meadow to our family. Pini is the love of our lives! She joined our family of four young boys and their girlfriends (ages 16-20) and Dale and I and has stolen all of our hearts.

Pini has adapted well to farm life. She loves to swim in the pond and chase the ducks, take long adventurous walks, ride the four wheeler, go on hay rides and take baths in the whirl tub. Pini enjoys fishing (after the fish is caught, she likes to take it off the hook) and she can fetch a ball, frisbee, and toy ducks. She is in training for future duck hunting trips.

As a puppy, everything is new and exciting to her. She quickly made friends with our kitty, Tiger, who is still trying to warm up to her new friend. Pini is very friendly with our guest and other dogs she meets when we go on day trips to Colonial Williamsburg, Windsor Castle in Smithfield, and the Mariners Museum in Newport News. She is walking on a leash very well and learning her commands like a pro. Our vet is crazy about her, too.

Pini is the pup of Piper and "Remember Me". She is very easy going and such good company to our family. We lost our two chocolate labs last year having them over 13 years. Pini has certainly filled a void that we were unsure could be filled. She has personality traits of both Caroline and Callie which brings back such great memories.

You prepared Pini so well to be a great companion and friend. We crate trained her and she was house trained in no time. She now sleeps in the bed with us and is defiantly a snuggler. I know we shouldn't let her sleep with us but she is so irresistible.

Bay Breeze dogs are very special and if ever Pini needs a sister, we'll defiantly get her from you. We will keep you posted on Pini Duck (as we call her) and send you updated pictures.

God Bless,

Hi Laurie & Butch,

Took Buttercup to our vet today and he said she was perfect, but of course we have already figured that out.  Last night she slept great and has had ZERO accidents in the house so far.  She even went over to the back door once today which is the way to the back yard where we are potty training her, so she must be pretty sharp.

Butch, she is the perfect laid-back dog we were looking for, and yet she'll run and play and almost fetch already.  She loves the tennis ball, unless she runs into a leaf or a stick along the way...

Thanks for raising such a nice puppy.  Hope "Marley" finds herself a good home, too!   :)

Good evening! We bought Buddy (whom we have named Scout) from you guys Halloween weekend last year. We promised pictures, which I am finally getting around to sending... and on his first birthday! He has been such a blessing to us, I really cannot thank you enough for giving us such a great deal on who my husband and I now call our second child. He is AMAZING with our son (two in March) and loves to go to my mom's to play with her two Labs, Doberman, and Dashun! I've owned a lot of dogs growing up with my family, but I honestly feel Scout is by far the best one that has entered our life. I know it's the Lab personality, but he goes above and beyond :) We have been crate training him, he house broke extremely fast and can stay out at night with us, so that he just has to be crated during work hours (due to terrorizing our son's poor toys, haha). He is 100% healthy, and a couple of weeks ago weighed in at 70 pounds with his last check up! AND his paws are still too big for him :) Anyway, on with the pictures, but really, THANK YOU so much, we could not be happier with Scout!!!

Sincerely,

Crystal (email received on 1/31/11)

P.S. - The snow is quite possibly the greatest thing ever to him! I have seen a Lab love snow, but not like Scout does! That and he LOVES to go to Harper's Ferry with us and jump in the water of course :)

The first picture is of "Bay Breeze Blew Across the River" (Bleu, formerly Snitch) playing in the Chesapeake Bay.

The second picture is of Bleu enjoying the fresh mountain breezes at Seven Springs Resort in Pennsylvania

He has healed the hole in our heart left when our 10 year old Labrador (River) died of cancer.  He is our best friend and the love of our grandchildren!

Building memories!

Laurie and Richard -
This is months and months overdue - I kept waiting for new photos to send you - those will have to follow.  Thanksgiving is a perfect time to send this - I did not know one little dog - not so little anymore! - could bring such pleasure to so many people. Gunner is usually with BIll - but Susan wants him with her - and her kids come home on weekends just to see Gunner! They love this dog - Bill said the whole family is happier!  There is hardly a day when Bill does not call - usually driving down the road with 60 lb. Gunner in his lap! - to tell me - "Penny - you can't believe what the Gunner Dog did" - he loves that dog - Gunner has made such a huge difference in his life.

It's hard to talk to Bill on the phone - as Gunner is constantly "talking"  to Bill - he makes the funniest noises - all different sounds - not barking - little rumbeling sounds - telling Billy all kinds of things!  He has me listen to Gunner over the phone!  Bill ran a campaign office for months before the election - Gunner met thousands of people - everyone loved him - many came back to just spend time with Gunner!  He's having a great life!

Gunner is now having Thanksgiving in Colorado with Susan's son and daughter-in-law and their 2 dogs.  They drove - so they could take Gunner!  I called as they were on their way - almost there to ask how Gunner was doing on his "roadtrip".  Bill said he was having a great time - he would sit in Evan's lap (Susan's son) for a while, then he would move up to Susan's lap, then he would move to Bill's lap!  He has fallen "in love" with Cole's Vishla(Sp. ?) -

Bill has decided they definitely need another dog - a buddy for Gunner!

I cannot thank you enough - for breeding fabulous dogs - and for sharing one of your dogs with

Bill and his family.  Bill said he had loved Chaca so much, he never thought he could love another dog that way and could not bring himself to get another dog.  From the moment that little yellow face with the green collar looked up at Bill - and picked him - Bill was a gonner! They make a great pair!  Thank you so much - what a blessing you have brought us all this Thanksgiving.

I don't have Richard's e-mail - please forward this to him.  Your love and the time you spend with the puppies, Richard, give them the loving temperament they have.  Thank you.

Penny

Hi Laurie!

I've been meaning to email you.  Sorry it's taken me so long.  Oh we adore Cooper.  He is such a LOVE!!  He's driving Jake the 10 year old Lab a bit bonkers because he's constantly trying to nip his ear and booty!!  Jake is exhausted!

Cooper adjusted immediately to his new home.  I have to tell you the cutest thing ever.  On the very first night I took my sweatshirt out of his crate thinking he wouldn't want it.  His monkey that you guys gave us was in there.  The sweatshirt was just sitting on the floor and Cooper went into his crate and picked up the monkey and put it outside the crate and then picked up my sweatshirt and dragged it in!!  I couldn't believe it!!  He sat on my lap the whole way home from you guys (after about 10 minutes of him in the crate crying I couldn't take it and had to hold him).  So I guess he learned my smell.  Either that or he really loves the color pink!! :)

His favorite place to sleep when we are home (which is almost all the time) is right by the fridge.  It's an old one and the seal isn't great so I think he likes the cold air.  He is still peeing in the house unfortunately.  He's great with pooping outside, but the peeing has been difficult.  I take him out so much and praise him when he goes.  We could have been out just a few minutes ago and he'll pee inside.  Not sure why he's not getting it.

At night he goes in his crate no problem, but is waking up pretty much twice.  That's tough because it feels like a newborn all over again.  He's also used to our weekday routine (we get up at 5am) so on Sat. and Sunday he's ready to go that early.  We're tired!!  But it's worth every second.

He's been to the vet twice.  The first visit was just to make sure all was well.  The second one was for his next set of shots.  In the 10 days between visits he DOUBLED his weight!!!  He was 15lb last week.  He definitely feels heavier by the day.  His paws are huge!!!  We're feeding him the 3/4 of a cup 3x a day and he eats like a wild animal.

Let's see, what else can I tell you.  He gets so excited when we take him out of his crate in the middle of the night and morning.  He snorts like a pig it's so cute.  My nickname for him is Piggy whenever he does that.  I absolutely love that high pitched chirp sound he makes when he sees up at those times and when he sees us getting his food ready.  He sounds like a little birdy.  So cute!!

After the first week of him home our digital camera broke!  Can you believe it???  The company said we have to send it in to be fixed.  Scott has another and we've been using that, but I just couldn't believe the timing.  I've been taking tons of video of him though.

Oh I do have a question for you.  Since he loves to chew, what do you suggest as chew things.  He's really not so into chewing toys.  I had gotten some edible Nylabones but just read that dogs have died from eating those.  I'm totally freaked out now and am afraid to give him anything.  Do you have any recommendations?  He loves to chew.

I'm going to send a few pictures but will send them separately.  They are from the first week, so you won't see how big he is now (I still have to download the ones on Scott's camera).  He really has gotten so big.  I wish he'd slow down a little!! LOL!

Can you please send this email on to Richard and Desi? I don't have their email address and want to be sure they get the update too.  We love our little boy.  He is so precious, sweet and absolutely beautiful.  Thank you for letting us have him.  We are truly blessed!!!!!

Hope you are well. I'll send some newer pics when I download them.  Take care!!
--Jennifer :)

Dear All,

Just wanted to stop in and give you a little update on "Charlie Cash". Tomorrow makes 4 weeks since we brought him home. Let me just tell you how very, very quickly he won our hearts. He is the cutest, sweetest, smartest, best dog ever. Potty trained, walking on a leash, sits and lays down. Not quite learned the stay command, yet. But he tries really hard. He has his moments in the morning of acting like a little boy, but he's so very, very calm. He took on my husband's personality immediately. He is the 3rd child we never had. We wouldn't trade him for anything. His first visit with the vet you recommended went well, Dr. Campbell is great.  The pet store, Care A lot was great, too. We thank you for the suggestions you, Richard and Desi gave, to get us on our way to owning a little one, again. So, soon we forget, they are like infants except without all the extra laundry!
Congrats on your big win with 'BEAR'. That is so wonderful. I know you are very, very proud.

I am sending you a few pics in another email so that you may use them if you want. But really we just want you to see how much he's growing and how very much he is a part of our family. He has won all 4 of us over. The thing that I have noticed the most is....we either all work together with Charlie to teach him and love him or it won't work at all. It has brought us closer than we were already. In one picture you will also see a picture of Charlie's brother, Otis that came from the same litter. Charlie is on the R, while Otis is on the left. My, my they are quite the pair when they get together. Definite brothers!

Take good care, we are so happy our friends told us about you and Bay Breeze Labradors!
our best,
Don & Angie Quick

Just a quick update. Baci is an incredibly smart dog, already she's got potty training down, sit, stay, she's walking on the leash very well, and she'll come when called as well. She's very social, and loves to see and meet everyone. She's a very happy dog. Now that she's finally got all her shots we've been taking her to a dog park near by. And she absolutely loves it! As do we because she always comes home so tired. These are a few pictures from today, it was her first time going to the beach, and she didn't miss a beat. She was in the water as soon as we took the leash off. And within a few minutes she was swimming around. We'd love to bring her back to visit one of these days, if its alright with you. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and feel free to use them on your website if you like.

Baci's mom,
Jennifer

Dear Laurie,

We are so thankful for our Miss Molly and count ourselves truly lucky for finding your website when we were looking for a new lab. From our first visit to Bay Breeze, it was evident how much you care about your dogs. You were nothing but supportive from the very beginning and we have no reservations about referring people to you.

Molly is four months old and growing like a weed -- she's almost thirty pounds now. Walking around the neighborhood with her is like walking around with a rock star -- everyone wants to pet her! As you can see from the picture, she definitely has Halle's ears and Winston's square mouth, which is really a beautiful combination.

Molly's also extremely well-behaved and calm for a puppy. We taught her how to sit on day one, she was fully housebroken in only a few weeks, and she's great with people and other dogs.

Even though we've only had her for two months, it's hard to remember life before her.

Hope all is well with you and your dogs.

All the best,

Todd & Kate W.

Laurie,

It was a true pleasure meeting you. So often people don't take time to listen and understand the people they are working with. This was definitely not the case when we met.You have the rare ability to give advice while still listening to another persons opinion.

Oh yeah, then there were your dogs, the reason we drove two hours in the first place! It was worth every bit of time and effort. "Meg" was all we hoped she would be and more. Only time will tell in the show ring and breeding, but she has all the qualities we were looking for.

I guess the only higher praise we could give is to come to you for another dog. And that is why we have already made arrangements to come see you in August.

By the way, if you or Desi would like to follow Meg as she grows up, you are welcome to visit her at http://shallowcreek.org anytime.

Thank ,

Hi Laurie,
Happy New Year!  We just wanted to send you a quick email and give you an update on Sadie.  We can't believe how quickly the time has passed.  It seems like yesterday we were coming down to meet you for the first time.  Sadie is now about 8 months old and doing wonderful.  Her personality is becoming more evident each day and continues to put a smile on our face.  She continues to amaze us with how quickly she picks up on things we are teaching her.  We have gotten settled with a new facility for training and Sadie seems to be thriving there.  If you ever have a client in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area and is inquiring about dog training, we would highly recommend this facility, it's call Pup N' Iron.
www.pupniron.com  Their staff is phenomenal and they have a wide variety of classes and services.  We are still working towards the goal of one day certifying Sadie as a Delta Therapy Dog Pet Partner.  We have a lot of work and training ahead of us to achieve this goal but I will keep you posted as she gets older and her progress towards this.  It has just been so much fun training her and see how much Sadie seems to enjoy the challenge of obedience training.
We have been sending Sadie to Doggie Daycare once a week (our new Vet's office offers this service) and it has been wonderful for socializing her.  She is able to play with other dogs as well as people while she is there.  During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday's we traveled a number of times with Sadie and she did wonderful.  She settled right in everywhere we took her.  I love how calm and adaptable she is!
We hope all is well with you and your dogs.  We have enjoyed following your showing and puppy news on your website.  Please send our regards to Desi and Richard.
I have attached a couple updated pictures of Sadie for you!
Take care,
Ally, Eddie & Sadie Regan

Alias...

"Peanut"

"Maggie P"

"Maggie-Mayhem"

"Ms. Magoo"

"Maggie Mae"

"Magpie"

makes quite a splash here in Arizona. Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures we have recorded.

While still in NY  and Maggie was about 9 weeks old,  we found (by some accident) that Maggie loves the water. While near a boat ramp, Maggie ran out into the water until she could no longer feel the bottom and continued to swim and swim, and swim.

She is growing like a weed.

The Brown Terrier in the pictures is my daughters rescued, exceptional gentle giant. Murphy is extremely well trained and gentle. Maggie and Murphy  were inseparable until we departed for our journey cross country to AZ.

Maggie has worked herself into parts of my heart that I did not know existed.

To just say thank you,  seems so insufficient. Her parents (Otis and Lucy), are both beautiful and handsome. Your talents in breeding, intertwined with passion and compassion for these animals shows brightly in Maggie's eyes.

 Thank You

Laurie,

We arrived home with "blue" collar- now known as Chutney, safely.  He is a great traveler.  He slept some and played with the kids through the crate.  He did not whine at all.  He came into our house like he owned it.  He began playing with our other dogs right away- running, ripping through the house.  Our Coton  has met his match, he now has his playmate.  They made fast friends right away.  I thought the new puppy would be a least timid at first but, none of that for this little guy.  I think he believes he has lived here his whole life.  Our basset could care less about the whole thing.  The children think he is wonderful.  He slept through the night after discovering that he would have to sleep in the crate next to me.  He wasn't so sure about it at first but settled down after only a few minutes.  He is a load of personality, I love to watch him crash after playing.  He just plops down when he has extended all of his energy.

We are off today to buy lots of chew toys as we have shown some interest in my desk chair leg- a big NO NO!  I think we should have named him Hoover for the way he eats his food.  I think all labs scarf down their food so quickly.

Thanks again for all your help.  We will email pictures soon and we will try to come by the dog show this week.  I will call for your schedule.

Talk to you soon.  I hope you had a good time in Florida.

Hi Laurie,

Attached is a photo of our new puppy, "Daisy" with her new Mom & brother Ben. She is such a sweet addition to our family, and smart! She has already figured out our other dog's Yuppy Puppy Treat Machine! (here is a link incase you have not heard of it http://www.dogtoys.com/yuppuptreatm.html  ). Yesterday she picked her stainless steel water bowl up outside & carried it around the yard like her dad "Piper".

She loves her big back yard & has a really great time playing with my son & our 3yr old yellow lab "Max". You should see them play tug-war! It is like Max knows not to be too rough with his new little sister. Daisy has already found Max's wading pool and made herself right at home.

Anyway, it really shows the terrific job you do breeding quality dogs! I highly recommend you to anyone looking for a quality Labrador Retriever. I will send more photos later.

Many Thanks,

Rob, Michelle, Ben, Max, & Daisy

Thank you so much Laurie.  The little guy is doing great so far.  He cried a
bit in the car and last night but otherwise seems fine and he has been very
playful.  He has been eating well last night and this morning.  We put down
some cedar chips in a little spot in the yard and he has going to the
bathroom in that spot every time!

We are not totally positive on his name yet but it is down to two UVA themed
names, "Sabre" or "Tiki", and I think Sabre has the lead right now.

Thanks again and we will be sure to keep in touch, ask questions if we need
anything and send you pictures as he grows.

Hi Laurie,
Hope all is well at Bay Breeze Farm!  We wanted to send a quick note to let
you know how Sadie was doing and to say Thank You.  Sadie has now been with
us for a week and has been an absolute delight.  She has been sleeping
through the night and adjusting very well to her new home.  She is so
smart!!  Crate training and house training have gone very smoothly.  The
amount of time and effort you, Desi, and Richard put into your puppies truly
shows!  Sadie had her first vet appointment earlier this week and got a
great report!  We can't thank you enough for all your expertise and guidance
in helping our family find the right puppy for us!  We greatly appreciated
your honesty and patience throughout this entire process.  It is great
coming home each day to Sadie's smiling face and wagging tail.  Please send
our thanks to Desi and Richard.  We have passed on your contact information
and website to many friends and family.  You have our highest
recommendation, keep up the good work!!!  If you all are ever in the area,
please let us know and we will bring Sadie out to visit.  Thanks again for
everything!

Take care,

Dear Laurie,

What can we say - we are in love! Brutus is doing wonderfully. Almost all business outside. He's so smart. He adjusted quickly to his new home and will take over if we let him.  We're sure he misses his brothers and sisters, but he loves all the attention he gets as the only child.  We can't remember life without him!  Thank you so much for all of your advice and help and for giving him such a great start.

Take care,

Marie and TJ

Hi Laurie,

Hope all is well. I wanted to drop you a line to let you know how Vinci is doing.  I am pleased to report he is wonderful!  He was neutered nearly a month ago and everything went perfectly.  When I picked him up, he carried on as if nothing had happened. He and my grandmother are getting along very well.  She loves him very much.  He’s proving to be a perfect companion for her. He has been fantastic for me.  He is so smart—everyone is so impressed with him.   He has responded extremely well to training and we have a wonderful relationship.  I’ve switched his food a couple of times, but he's eating well with no issues. Our family is completely in love with him.  We cannot imagine our lives without him.  I have attached picture of him I took the other day before I left for work.  Again, we are very please that we purchased him from you and the follow up support and information you’ve provided.

 All the best, Eric

Hi Laurie!

I just wanted to write and tell you thank you so much for our beautiful chocolate lab. It has been about a month since we got Hershey and he is adapting wonderfully. He was a little timid at first but now he is a bundle of energy. House training is going well. He still has his accidents every now and then. Our other dog, Rascal, has really adapted to him well. They are like two peas in a pod. I have attached some pictures so you can see how big he has gotten. Hershey went to the vet about a week ago for his second puppy shots and he is weighing in at 20.9 pounds. We have a feeling he is going to be a big boy. Hope everything is going well. And once again thank you so much for the new addition to our family.

Hi Laurie,

Hope all is well.  We’re fine here in Franklin.

We absolutely love Vinci.  He is a wonderful addition to our family.  In the short time he has been with us, he is adjusting very well.  I thought he was going to cry a lot but he took to our home very well.  His potty and crate training is coming along very well.  I have attached a picture of him sleeping in the crate.  He is going in and out of the crate.  But what’s fascinating, he will fall asleep in his crate then wake up and sleep on the floor.  Now, he’s sleeping on the slate area in front of the fire place.  I was concerned it was too cool but he seems to love it.  I guess his crate is too warm and soft. J  All our neighbors love him.  As a matter of fact, one of my neighbors wants to know if any of his brothers are still available.

He is so smart.  He is already going to the door when he needs to potty.  Once he is done he runs to the deck and climb the stairs to the back door.  His stools were a little soft the first day, but he has been fine after that.  His appetite is really good.  We are having a hard time trying to figure out how much water he needs.  How much should we give him every day?

We are very pleased we decided to purchase our lab puppy with you.  I will be writing and forwarding more pictures after his first visit with Wanda.

All the best,

 Eric

Hi Laurie,

Well I am sitting her in my kitchen on my computer "fenced in" from the
puppies.  They are so smart.  We got home last nite and they slept great. No
crying.  I am so glad that we got brother & sister, they will never be
lonely!!! The have the biggest crate 48", we have it in the kitchen opened
with baby gates in the doorways. They act as if they have lived her for
months.!!They have pee pee'd on the paper in the kitchen when we could'nt
get them outside in time.  Wayne also made a very big litter box (ha!) with
sawdust in it.  They did go in it also.  They love being outside.  We are
feeding them 1 cup each at 6 AM & PM.  All BM's look very healthy  They are
so smart and smell everything.  We have taken pictures of them and I will
e-mail you some soon.  I feel like I have my hands full right now.  Thank
you again for our beautiful puppies.  Give Phoebe & Riley a big hug from the
Seymour's.  I called & left a message with Richard & Desi, just to let them
know that the pups are doing so well, you all certainly know how to raise &
prepare the pups for their new homes.

   Thanks again Laurie.

Hey Laurie,

Sounds like things are going wonderful for you and your gang. They have been doing an excellent job at the shows. Congratulations. Sorry that it has taken so long to give you an update on our babies. Time just seems to fly by. Sadie and Sampson are growing like weeds. Sampson is almost as big as Sadie. Of course Sadie has been a great big sister to her new little brother. As always we didn’t go wrong by adding a new addition from one of your litters. You breed the best dogs!!! Sadie is a year and three months old and just an amazing dog. Sampson is five months old and already a handsome fella. We were tickled when Sadie took to potty training, basic commands right away. Since adopting Sampson from you in November we now know that we just didn’t get lucky picking Sadie but we were extremely lucky picking you as a breeder. Sampson also picked up the potty training and basic commands right away. Naturally they both want nothing more than to please us, therefore in return they are spoiled rotten. They love walks and playing Frisbee and just plain lounging around enjoying the good life. I have attached a couple of pictures, you may have to enlarge them to see them better. As you can see by the one picture of the two of them together (this picture was about a month after bringing Sampson home), he wants to be just like big sis, he is posing just like her. LOL!

Anyway thanks again for everything. Everyone always ask me if I am going to complete the set with a black lab and of course if I was brave enough for a third I would definitely return to you. But even though I may not be interested in expanding my family to a third lab I will always refer everyone to YOU!!!! You are truly the best around!!!!

 Your friends,

Linda, Taylor, Sadie & Sampson Keller

Well, It's been a year since we got a puppy from you, Daytona turned 1 on the 12 and weighs in at 100lbs.  Daytona has been a wonderful addition to our family. He has chewed up a few things but not bad.  He was very easy to potty train.  He has the best personality.  He sleeps with us every night and loves to cuddle and give kisses.. Oh he loves to Dove hunt with Robbie and Brandon.

We saw Butch last night and asked me if I had sent any pictures and of course I had to say no.  I feel so bad, We also go on your website and look at the puppy that you have.  So I doing it now, before I forget again.

I hope we can make it out your way one day soon, I would love for him to play with Winston (his DAd).

Thanks for everything

Hi, this Trey Williams, I bought your last Chocolate female Lab a little over a month ago and just wanted to say she is a very good and smart pup; everyone that meets her absolutely loves her and comments on how well behaved she is for a puppy.  I’ve named her Roxy and she took her first boat ride last week and absolutely loved it.  I’ve enclosed a picture of her on the boat.  We just got back from the vet for shots and she officially weighs in at 34.2 lbs. already!

Have a great holiday and thanks for a great dog!

Hi Laurie,
Just wanted to let you know that Lily is adjusting amazingly well. She is
the love of our lives and is going like a weed.
I will send some pics later, but wanted you to know how happy we are with
her. She sleeps upside down on her back and snores! We will be in touch.

Laurie,

It was nice to see you at the Dog Show in Virginia Beach last week.  I was glad to see that Otis did well! We are proud to let you know that Hershey passed his TDI test twice at the dog show.  We are looking forward to taking him to visit people who need cheering up! I am most excited about the prospect of taking him to read with children at local libraries!

Hershey is almost a year and half old.  It is hard to believe that we have had him for so long.  Thank you for breeding such wonderful dogs!

Best wishes for the coming holidays and good luck at your upcoming dog shows!

Dear Laurie,
There are not words to tell you how blessed we are to have this
wonderful "boy" added to our family. Our son, Elijah wanted you to have
these pictures of he and Master Blue and to tell you how deeply appreciative
he is to you ,Winston and Murphy for this precious gift. It would be
impossible to tell you just how much he has already accomplished in this
short week of joining our home and family. His love and patience for Elijah
and his unique needs is amazing. He has taken to his position with great
enthusiasm and a deep commitment to Elijah even at this young age. He is a
perfect match and exactly the companion Elijah was dreaming of. Thank you for
the opportunity to meet his parents, it is apparent that Blue inherited not
only their pedigree but their gentle and loving nature as well. Elijah has
waited patiently for a friend and with Blue's arrival he had only one thing
to say "This is the happiest day of my life " and it thrills us to know that
he has many years ahead for him and Blue to grow up together and we look
forward to sharing their adventures and someday visiting again with you for
the chance to add another Lab to our family. Thank you so very much for this
blessing and please allow us to speak on your behalf in recommending your
kennel to anyone looking to add a special puppy to their family. It is clear
to us that the loving care to his start in life you provided is the strong
foundation that he is building upon.

                                Sincerely,

Hi Laurie,

I hope you had a great Christmas. I wanted to send you an email letting you know how lucky we were to have found you!!!  Taylor was so surprised when she came home and found out that I had already picked up Sadie J  I don’t even know where to start. You breed the best pups. From the first day that we brought her home she has been nothing but a joy to have around and I might add that she is extremely smart. She has been with us for about a week. The first day we put a collar on her and started taking her outside for potty breaks on a leash. Not once has she fought the leash! Now she even goes to the back door and whines when she needs to go out. Yes you read that right! After only a week she is whining to let us know she has to have a potty break. When we bring her back inside we tell her to sit so we can take her leash off, and get this, she is doing this on a regular basis now. There are so many other things that she is doing. She goes right in her crate at night and falls fast asleep. She usually wakes up around 5am for a potty break. We have done a couple of trial runs with leaving her at home alone in her crate and every time we return she is sound asleep. On Christmas morning she pitched right in and gave Taylor a paw with opening her presents. Sadie is a wonderful addition to our family and we can’t thank you enough! I have pictures to send you but for some reason my scanner is not working properly today. I will try again and if I am not successful I will mail them to you.

Again, we can not thank you enough for all your help, patience and all of your knowledge of Labs that you shared with us. This is the first time that we have purchased from a breeder and I can tell you that when Sadie is old enough we will be coming back to you for a sister. You have made this experience a great one!!!!!!

Thanks again and have a Happy New Year!

Linda, Taylor & Sadie

Dear Laurie,

I really enjoy reading all of your latest news on the labs. I have talked to you a couple of times on the telephone. I bought a dog from Desi. He is so sweet, and we love him so much. The way you describe his Father Winston, I am sure the two are exactly alike. His face, the way he snores, the way he is soooo laid back, the way he stretches out on the couch, bed, floor, chair, etc.. reminds me of pictures of Winston.  I would seriously think about freezing his DNA. I would clone this one in a minute!! Thanks for the entertainment!! Keep breeding the best. Claudia Carden, Elizabeth City North Carolina.

Laurie,

I just wanted to write and let you know that Hershey recently turned 6 months old.  Russell and I took him home in July. I can’t believe it has been this long already.  I remember his first night at home and I am amazed at how much he has grown and how much he has learned.   He is about 65 pounds and is a joy to have in our house.  He is a big boy, but thinks he is a lap dog.  He so sweet and he loves people and other dogs.  He likes to snuggle and cuddle with us.  He just finished his second obedience class and begins the next one on Saturday.  He is a smart dog.  I don’t think we are going to show him in Obedience, but I am interested in Canine Good Citizen testing for him.  We’ll see how off-leash training goes!  J  He loves to visit the Dog Park in Chesapeake and play with other dogs.  The only thing that we can’t get to interest him is the water.  We’ll try again when it gets warm!

Hershey is a bundle of energy and we are so lucky to have him.  Thank you for all of the work that you do to breed such amazing animals.  Anyone would be lucky to have one of your puppies and we suggest to anyone looking for a lab puppy to call you.  Thank you again and best wishes for the holiday season.

 Take care,

Jessica Meier  J

Hello Laurie!! My husband and I purchased a yellow labrador from you about a year and half ago. We named her Sayba!! Well... Sayba has grown to be one of the great loves of both of our lives! She was raised on the  Chesapeake bay where she enjoyed morning jogs and entertained many of passers by with her amazing retrieval skills. Unfortunately, my husband and I recently moved to Denver, Colorado and took Sayba away from her beloved ocean! But, amazing as she is, she has quickly grown accustomed to the lakes and the woodsy paths of the Rocky Mountains! Sayba is a born retriever, an amazing athlete, one of the best looking yellow labs I've ever seen, and and amazing companion!!! We hope everyone on the farm is happy and healthy! And  we want to thank you for this amazing little blonde that has blessed our lives!!! please keep in touch--Amy,Chris,&Sayba Faison!!

Dear Laurie,

I am sorry that it has taken so long to send you this testimonial but things have been hectic.  Baci will soon be 6 months old.  Everyone who sees her, including her trainer and her vet, comment on how beautiful she is.  Her trainer said that she doesn't walk, "she prances like a champion." Total strangers we meet on the street fall instantly in love with her.  She is an extremely loving puppy who delights in people.  We are trying hard to get her to bridle her enthusiasm when she meets new people.  She tries hard to control her desire to jump up and licking the face of everyone she meets.  This usually results in her doing a cha cha while semi-sitting and when the object of her affection pets her, she pees.  At least she is trying not to jump up and she should grow out of this, we hope.  She is a very energetic dog who loves to retrieve.  She follows Martha around like a big brown shadow.  When Martha leaves a room and Baci can't follow her, she wimpers pitifully.

When we were looking for a puppy to add to our family, the thing that impressed me most about your site was the testimonials.  I know now that all of the glowing words were well deserved.  Anyone looking for a quality puppy that has gotten all of the love and medical care that will make it a well adjusted dog should look no further.  There are several chocolate labs in our neighborhood but Baci is by far the prettiest with the best disposition.  Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Jack and Martha Rossi

Laurie,

I can't believe that Jordan will be 2 years old in March.  It seems like
yesterday when we came out to the farm to take him home.  I spurred to
write this letter because of the passing Bailey.  Not only was he Jordan's
father but he is "truly the reason that we chose Jordan.  A little bit of
history is needed to fully understand the whole story.  Previously, my
husband and I owned cocker spaniels.  After our last one died, we decided
to be "dogless" for a while and devote all attention to our cats.  But
after awhile that got boring; those of you who have cats know that they are
not going to greet you at the door in the evening when you get home or
smother you with attention and that's what we were used to.  After some
research, we decided to get another dog - perhaps a bigger dog that could
go jogging with my husband and thus the search began.  Because of my
allergies, it was decided that a short-haired dog would be best and it was
decided to get a yellow Labrador retriever.  It just so happened that my
best friend worked with a lady who bred labs.  When a yellow litter was
born, we decided to take a trip out to the farm and pick one out.  So this
is how we ended up at the farm looking for a dog.  When we got to the farm
that day, we were immediately met by a large and totally charming chocolate
lab.  He was the perfect concierge for the farm and immediately won our
hearts over.  After very little debate, we decided to wait for the next
litter which would be chocolate.

That was the best decision we could have made.  Our "little" guy is
absolutely wonderful.  He is a social butterfly and knows no strangers.  He
is a joy to have around and has become a wonderful companion.  When we
moved last August, we had to temporarily live in some cramped quarters but
Jordan took it all in stride and made the best of a cramped situation.
Because he still has a lot of "puppy" energy, he goes to doggie daycare
while we're at work and he is a hit there as well.  He is a quality dog;
people are always commenting on his nice build.  He has a great
temperament.  At 85 pounds, its hard to convince him that he can't jump in
your lap on the couch and he still likes to walk across you in the bed when
he wants out, but we wouldn't trade him for ANYTHING!   Thanks Laurie for
our wonderful companion.

Thanks,

Richard, Carol and Jordan

P.S. I'm sure Bailey is the perfect concierge at the Rainbow Bridge!

Laurie,

It has been a little over 6 months since we have adopted our yellow lab named Jada-belle. I was online looking at our adoption day picture and thought that you might like to know how Jada-belle was doing. She is about 65 lbs. and full of life. When she was a puppy she slept a lot and was not very playful. In fact the only time she woke up or did some exercise was when she wanted to torture Caesar our boxer. At that time he was a year and a half old and she was his worse nightmare. I was scared to bring another dog into the house because Caesar was so use to getting all of our attention, but it worked out better than Bret and I could have ever imagined. They are like Bonnie and Clyde always doing something that they know they should not be doing. The two of them have single handedly ruined our house but the pleasure of their company outweighs it all.

Jada-belle loves to eat, lick everything, and swim in the ocean. She is my little person and full of personality. I could not have asked for a better dog. She does not have a mean bone in her body, her feelings get hurt very easily, and she does not realize how big she really is. She thinks that she can jump on my lap or lay on top of me when I am sleeping but she is way too heavy for me. To tell you the truth I just deal with the discomfort because I love when she is affectionate. Anyway, I thought that I would give you a little update so that you know she went to a good home.

Thank you again,

Kim, Bret, Caesar, and Jadabelle

I have finally gotten around to writing this letter to thank you once again for another wonderful addition to our family. Not only are John and I thrilled to death with Bailey but you get many thanks from Kiya for her new brother. Kiya took to him immediately when he came into the house and they can not be separated it is like they are glued together. They are the best of friends and get along famously. Although they have two different personalities they work it out. I didn't think it was possible to get another dog as great as Kiya but with out a doubt Bailey also has her wonderful disposition and learns very quickly. Again our hats go off to you Laurie and the wonderful job you do breeding quality dogs. We are extremely thankful to you and would recommend anyone looking for a lab puppy to look no further Bay Breeze Farm has the finest dogs around.

 Thanks so much,

Laurin, John and Kiya

hey laurie! I just wanted to drop you a little hello and let you know how
incredibly beautiful our new addition is. chris and I are already head over
heels in love. we have decided to name her Sayba. we vacationed in st.
maarten earlier in the year and there was an island off the coast called
saba. so we named her after the island, we just changed the spelling a
little. I think she has adjusted just fine to her new home. It took a couple
of days, but she seems very comfortable now. I took her to the vet on
monday. everything checked out fine. we go back in early july for more
shots. anyway, we couldn't be happier. thanks again for everything!!
I will definetly keep in touch and update you on sayba's
growth. and-please put my e-mail on your testimonial page.I will definetly
recommend you to anyone looking for a  labrador.

We have been real busy lately and haven't had time to send you this little note. Just to say we really do love her and we are so glad we found your web page. She is truly human and will do anything we ask. Priscilla is a beautiful dog and is by far the smartest dog that I have ever owned.

Bo took her to the vet she checked out great she needs no lead she follows and stops with you already. We took her to Lake Gaston and she swam out into the lake to fetch a stick over and over  again. As soon as we get pictures back from this weekend we will send you some.

my name is Amy...I bought 2 chocolate labs from laurie...they are now 10 months old and I couldn't have asked for 2 better dogs...I moved out west to arizona a few months ago....and I always get compliments on how gorgeous the dogs are..their names are Bowman and Wilson....I would say that BBFlabs has to have the best dogs...I have had no health issues with these guys at all...they are great dogs...they are each about 100lbs now so, I guess my only problem is feeding them:):)...I will say that when it comes time for me to get another puppy...I know that I will come all the way back to virginia to get it...you can't get a puppy from anyone else that has the attention and care that laurie gives these puppies...every other dog I have ever had hasn't gotten the care that these dogs got when they were born....so in closing, I would just like to say thank you to Laurie, and also I would definitely recommend to anyone that you are getting the best when you get your puppy from BBFlabs...
                                                                                  thank you ,

Laurie-
Kirby is FANTASTIC!  We love her so much!  She did great coming home.  She was such an angel.  Her first touch of grass was hilarious.  She looked at us as though we were crazy, but she went pee and we praised her.  She is responding to her name already and she goes outside to go potty.  Only a couple of accidents, but we missed the signs, it wasn't her fault.  She had a rough first night but we were up and down with her to comfort her and Sunday night was much better.  The crate was her security for sleeping and when we go off to work.  She starts out whining, but settles down in a few minutes.  She is a good eater and loves to put her paws in her bowl...and that means that the bowl tumbles over and so does she.  She is still not real steady on her feet but getting better every day.  Actually, on Sunday she hopped up a few steps and today (Monday) she hopped down a few.  She is showing all the signs of being a very bright, smart puppy.  We are so happy with her.  Thanks for all your help during this process, we found it a very enjoyable and painless process.  I have recommended you to many of my friends who currently have labs (in case they want another or want to get another later on).  It's very hard to believe that such a small creature can turn out to be such a large animal as an adult, in a relatively short time-frame.  We figure we'll all grow together.  The children are spoiling her rotten and so are we.  We really do love her a lot.  She seems to have adjusted very well to us and us to her.

Thanks for the message, and we'll keep in touch.--Gretchen (3/17/03)

My letter of many thanks- 12/10/02

Hi, my name is Laurin and I would like to share with you a little bit about my experience in purchasing a chocolate lab puppy from Bay Breeze Farm. My husband and I had been looking for some time for the right dog, but were unable to find what we were looking for. We are long time dog owners and have even won shows with our dogs in the past so we knew what we were looking for, we just weren't able to find it. We had called many different breeders, told them what we wanted, but always felt uncomfortable for one reason or another. First and foremost we wanted to feel that the person we were dealing with was a straight talker and knew about the breed she was trying to sell. As luck would have it, my husband finally spoke with someone he felt comfortable with, Laurie. After speaking with her on the phone for awhile, he set up an appointment to come and see her dogs. When entering the property for the first time I was overwhelmed with all of the dogs that were there to greet us. First impression...not sure that I wanted to exit the car. After getting out and meeting all of her dogs, I saw well cared for animals with great dispositions. We walked around and checked things out and asking questions to which we got answers. During our ride home, my husband and I both decided we liked what we saw and felt comfortable that this was where we wanted to get our puppy from. When we got home we called Laurie to tell her that we wanted to purchase one of her puppies. From that point on we felt like we had made the right choice. Laurie kept in touch with us keeping us informed on the progress of the pregnancy. When the puppies were born we received a phone call saying they had arrived and we could see them any time we wanted. Over the next several weeks not only did we go check on the puppy, but we brought our granddaughters too. We were overwhelmed to see how well the dogs took to the children's visit. Again this only confirmed how great the dogs temperaments were which was very important to us. Kiya is now home with her new family and I am still aware of the quality care she received before coming home. I didn't have to go through a transition with Kiya from wet food to dry, because once again she was already on dry when we got her home. Upon picking Kiya up we left with a wonderful packet containing all of her information and a starter kit so we didn't have to rum right out the door for food, etc. Well, I could go on and on about our wonderful experience but I think you get the point. I highly recommend Bay Breeze Farm to anyone looking for a quality Lab. Thank you Laurie, and keep up the great work. Your love and devotion shows over and over again in your dogs.

                                                                Sincerely, Laurin Davenport
